Sindhu USA Welfare Society is a non profit, non-governmental organization which began with a powerful vision: “Education For Life.” Established in 2010, our organization initially grew from grassroots efforts to unite the vibrant Sindhupalchowk community from Nepal to US that had found a new home in New York City. Rooted in this spirit of community and driven by a desire to give back, we first focused our efforts on supporting vulnerable children in Nepal, providing education and essential resources to over 135 young lives.

Our journey began in 2010, sparked by a shared desire to give back to our home communities in Sindhupalchowk and to build a strong, supportive network across continents. We are a group of individuals, many with roots in Sindhupalchowk now living in the USA, united by a passion for progress and a deep respect for Nepali culture. Driven by this passion, we focus our efforts on key areas that we believe are essential for a thriving education, community development, and cultural preservation. From providing scholarships to ensure children and youth can access quality education, and hosting events that celebrate the richness of Nepali heritage, we are committed to tangible actions that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

Today, Sindhu USA Welfare Society works to empower NYC youth through impactful programs focused on education and leadership development. We unite New Yorkers through community events, cultivate vital donor support, and create initiatives that unlock the potential within every young person we serve. We invite you to join us in building a brighter future for NYC youth, right here in our city, and help us bring the vision of “education for life” to a new generation of leaders.
